What is Botox

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe forehead lines, crow’s feet lines, and frown lines between the eyebrows in adults.

BOTOX® stands for Botulinum Toxin Type A, a purified protein derived from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It works by temporarily relaxing targeted facial muscles that cause wrinkles from repeated movement, helping the skin appear smoother and more refreshed. When administered by a qualified medical professional, results are noticeable within days and typically last for several months.
